Premium quality phones are being revealed one after another from the start of 2018. Chinese smart phone manufacturers have been trying to produce premium quality phones in low price. Chinese Tech Giants like Huawei, OnePlus etc. have attained the level of Samsung’s premium flagship phones. Huawei’s releases P series and OnePlus produces Plus phones which have almost equivalent specs to Samsung’s S series. Samsung released Galaxy S9 and S9+ in March and Huawei released P20 lite, P20 and P20 Pro in comparison to S9 flagship while OnePlus also unveiled its latest flagship phone OnePlus 6. Apple released iPhone X last year and it was a huge success. Let’s compare the specs, camera and more features of these jaw-dropping premium phones.
Success of OnePlus
OnePlus released its first smart phone in 2014 and it was sold like hot cakes because of its specs which were almost equal to those of top phones at that time. Since its release, OnePlus has been a huge success and it is compared with Tech Giants like Apple and Samsung. Last year, OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T were released and they both had amazing specifications and were packed with spectacular cameras. The reason OnePlus became so successful is that they sold their phones at relatively cheaper prices than Samsung and Apple. OnePlus has unveiled its 6th generation in May.

P20 line-up has metal body like its predecessors. But the body shape has changed which had been similar for many years. The new design is quite attractive and somehow similar to iPhone X’s. OnePlus 6 has discontinued following its predecessor’s metal design and has adopted new glass back. iPhone X has metallic frame and glass body. Both iPhone X and P20 Pro are much identical. All of these phones have full glassy bezel-less screen which makes these phones actually premium.
No winner: All of them have similar design but not same.
Three of these phones have Full HD+ Amoled screens with resolution of 1125 x 2436px for iPhone X, 1080×2280 px for OnePlus 6 and 1080×2240 for P20 Pro. Display quality of
P20 Pro and OnePlus 6 is almost similar to one another while iPhone X has slightly better display.
OnePlus 6 is available in 6GB with 64GB and 8GB with 128GB variants with Snapdragon 845 processor. While P20 Pro has 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and uses HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor. Snapdragon may be little better than Kirin but both have almost similar processing power. So, OnePlus has slightly better lead here. iPhone X, on the other hand, uses Apple’s A11 Bionic processor which is 25% faster than A10 fusion of iPhone 7 and comes with 3GB RAM and 64/256GB internal storage.
A11 Bionic is somehow faster than SD 845 and Kirin 970, so, iPhone X wins on processor side.
P20 Pro has mircoSD card support while OnePlus 6 and iPhone X don’t have expandable memory. OnePlus 6 only has fingerprint scanner and iPhone X has only 3D Face ID while P20 Pro is packed with 2D facial scanner with fingerprint reader. Three of these phones are packed with best quality speakers and none of them lags behind. iPhone X, on one hand, doesn’t has headphone jack. Although iPhone X wins the processor side, P20 Pro wins the hardware side because of expandable memory and has bit more features than other two phones.

Most people buy expensive phones because of better camera quality. OnePlus 6 and iPhone X have dual camera setup, P20 Pro is packed with three cameras made with Leica. The main camera of P20 Pro is 40MP AI cam with 5x Hybrid zoom and f/1.8 with is far better than modern phone’s digital zoom. So, you get sharper pictures without distortion. Camera is the feature for which P20 Pro is known for. The camera uses AI which senses the light conditions and adjusts the settings automatically. In dark, it can take sharper pictures with almost no noise because AI adjusts the noise automatically. The other two cameras of P20 Pro has 20MP and 8MP lenses. The picture taken by P20 Pro is actually the combined result of 3 cams.
After Lumia 1020, P20 Pro is the first phone with 40MP camera and becomes best camera phone. iPhone X has dual 12MP camera with 2x optical zoom. Though, the difference between the pictures taken by both phones is very slight, but P20 Pro wins here. On the other hand, OnePlus 6 has dual camera with 20MP and 16MP lens f/1.7. OnePlus 6’s camera quality is comparable to iPhone X’s camera. P20 Pro wins the camera game clearly.

OnePlus 6 has 3300mAh battery while P20 Pro has 4000 mAh bigger battery. iPhone X, on the other hand, has 2700mAh smaller battery.
The battery life of P20 Pro is much better than other two.

Apple’s iPhone X comes with iOS 11 which has been improved as compared to iOS 10 which contained less features. iPhone X
iOS has some limitations as compared to Android phones. OnePlus 6 wins here because of more cleaner UI and customization options.
When it comes to price, OnePlus is cheaper as compared to P20 Pro and iPhone X.
Starting price of OnePlus 6 is $529 while iPhone X starts with $999. P20 Pro’s price crashed this month and it now starts at $960.
All of these smart phones are premium quality and have excellent specs. It depends on your price range which phone you choose. iPhone LOVER will obviously choose iPhone X. If you want a professional camera, go for P20 Pro.
